Privacy Policy — MemeTrader: Meme Coin Paper Trading
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This policy describes how MemeTrader: Meme Coin Paper Trading ("MemeTrader," "the extension," "we," or "our") collects, accesses, uses, stores, and shares information. It covers the local paper-trading extension, including its simulated trading, chart markers, practice progress, badges, and cosmetic features.
MemeTrader simulates trades using fictional balances. It does not execute real trades, connect a real wallet, or move funds. Trading records and preferences are saved in your browser. Market-data providers receive network requests, and supported websites' chart code receives the simulated trade information needed to display chart markers, as explained below.
1. Information we collect or access
- Supported-page information: the current page URL, platform, blockchain network, token or pair identifiers, token symbols, and relevant publicly displayed market information, such as prices and market capitalization. The extension uses this information to identify the token you are viewing and provide its trading panel and chart features. It can read displayed market information on GMGN and FOMO and interact with supported chart components. It does not use Chrome's browsing-history API or collect a general history of unrelated websites.
- Information you enter and simulated trading activity: manual token searches, simulated balances and funding entries, positions, buy and sell amounts, fill prices, timestamps, trade history, profit/loss calculations, and pending or completed simulated orders.
- Settings and preferences: simulated fees and slippage, starting balances, trading and order presets, panel layout, interface mode, selected progress tab, and sound preferences.
- Practice progress: practice dates, milestones, earned badges and their timestamps, unlocked cosmetics, and the selected cosmetic appearance.
- Market caches and backup information: cached market responses, exchange rates, request timing and retry information, imported backup contents, restore-preview data, and a recovery copy of trading data saved before a restore.
- Support correspondence: if you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or other information you choose to send.
This version does not require an account and has no Google sign-in or cloud synchronization. The extension does not request your name or email address to use its features. It does not collect real-wallet private keys, seed phrases, login credentials, payment-card information, or real-wallet balances. Public token contract addresses used for price lookups are distinct from your personal wallet address.
2. How information is used and handled
MemeTrader uses the information above to identify the current market, obtain prices, calculate simulated trades and performance, check simulated orders, display chart markers, save preferences, award local practice rewards, and import or export backups. Pending simulated orders may trigger price requests in the background while Chrome and the extension are running, even when the relevant token page is not open.
Trading calculations and progress tracking run in the browser. The extension does not upload your trading database or progress to a developer-operated server. Support correspondence is used to respond to your request and investigate issues you report.
3. Storage and security
The extension stores its persistent trading records, preferences, progress, caches, and restore information in chrome.storage.local in your Chrome profile. It does not use Chrome's synchronized extension storage to synchronize these records between devices. Some working data is also held temporarily in memory.
Exported JSON backups are saved to a location on your computer selected or configured through your browser. Imports read a file you select. These operations do not upload the file to us. Wallet backups do not include cosmetic progress. If you save a backup in a folder synchronized by another service, that service handles the file under its own settings and policy.
External market-data connections use HTTPS or secure WebSockets (WSS). Local records and JSON backups are not separately encrypted by MemeTrader; their protection depends on your browser, operating system, and device access controls. Keep backups in a location appropriate for the information they contain.
4. Sharing and third-party access
Market-data providers. The extension contacts these services to obtain market information:
- DEX Screener —
api.dexscreener.com: receives token or pair identifiers and, for applicable requests, a blockchain identifier to return prices and market information such as liquidity, volume, and market capitalization. - CoinGecko —
api.coingecko.com: receives native-currency identifiers and the requested quote currency, USD, to provide conversion rates. - TERMINAL / Padre —
backend.padre.gg: receives network, token, pair, or market identifiers through HTTPS requests and secure WebSocket connections to supply fallback market snapshots for supported TERMINAL markets.
These services receive the connection's IP address and standard connection/request metadata, which can include request time, browser-supplied headers, and origin information. Requested identifiers can reveal which market is being looked up. The extension does not include your simulated balances, complete trade history, or progress records in these price requests. Providers may log and retain request information according to their own policies; MemeTrader does not control their logs or retention periods.
Website and chart integration. To draw paper-trade markers and pending-order lines, MemeTrader passes information about the current token's simulated trades and orders to code running in the supported webpage and compatible chart frames, including TradingView-based charts. This information can include the page URL, network and token/pair identifiers, symbol, currency and market values, simulated trade IDs, buy/sell direction, times, amounts, fill prices, and pending-order IDs and target values. Scripts running in those page contexts may access the messages and chart objects. This is local browser integration, but it makes that information accessible to the webpage; it is not a guarantee that the website cannot observe it.
Optional links and referrals. The extension includes clearly labeled referral links to GMGN, Axiom, FOMO, and TERMINAL using the code mtraderx. When you choose to open a link, the destination receives the referral code, normal connection information, and any information you provide there. The platform may associate the referral with your account and activity under its own terms and privacy policy. We may earn a commission. The extension does not send your paper-trading database as part of the referral link.
Support email. If you contact thememetraderapp@gmail.com, your correspondence is processed by our email provider, Gmail/Google, and by us for support. Do not send private keys, seed phrases, passwords, or other secrets.
We do not sell extension user data, use it for personalized advertising, or include third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the extension. We do not receive your local trading database automatically. The disclosures above describe the extension's market requests, page integrations, optional links, and voluntary support contact; the supported websites also operate their own services independently of MemeTrader.
5. Retention and deletion
- Local records: trading records, settings, and progress remain in your Chrome profile until replaced, reset where supported, or removed with the extension's local data. The extension does not apply a general automatic deletion period to all stored records.
- Account reset: the Reset account control resets the selected network's practice balance, positions, and history, and cancels its pending orders. It does not erase all extension data. Preferences, earned progress, cosmetics, order records, caches, and recovery copies may remain.
- Complete local removal: remove MemeTrader through Chrome's extension management page to remove its
chrome.storage.localdata. Disabling the extension does not delete that data. A fresh installation does not restore the deleted records unless you import a backup. - Caches and restore copies: cache freshness limits determine when data can be reused, not when every stored copy is deleted. Stored entries may remain until replaced, evicted, or removed with extension data. Restore-preview validity expires after 15 minutes, but expiration alone does not guarantee removal of its stored contents. The pre-restore recovery copy remains until replaced by another restore or removed with extension data.
- Exported files: uninstalling or resetting does not delete JSON backups you exported, copies you made, or copies held by your device-backup services. Delete these separately if you no longer want them.
- Support and external providers: support messages remain in our support mailbox unless deleted; contact us to request deletion of correspondence you sent. We cannot delete records held independently by market providers, referral platforms, or your own backup services. Contact those providers about their records and retention practices.
You can review your simulated trading information in the extension and export a wallet backup. You can change preferences in its controls and limit site access or disable the extension in Chrome. Because we do not hold your local extension database, we cannot recover or remotely erase it for you.
6. Permissions and site access
- Storage: saves the local data described in this policy.
- Alarms: schedules background checks for simulated pending orders.
- Supported trading sites: access on GMGN, DEX Screener, Axiom, FOMO, and TERMINAL (
trade.padre.ggandterminal.pump.fun) enables token detection, the trading panel, market information, and chart integration. - Chart frames: scripts on matching supported-site and TradingView frames enable compatible chart markers and order lines.
- Market-data hosts: access to DEX Screener, CoinGecko, and the TERMINAL/Padre backend enables the requests described above. The manifest also declares host access to Axiom for its supported-site integration.
7. Limited use of extension data
MemeTrader uses data accessed through the extension only to provide its user-facing paper-trading features. Its use and transfer of that data adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use browsing information for advertising, profiling, sale, or unrelated purposes. We do not receive or review local trading records unless you voluntarily provide them for support.
8. Children's privacy
MemeTrader is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through support correspondence, contact us to request its deletion.
9. Changes and contact
We will update this page and its revision date when the policy changes. Where a change requires additional disclosure or consent, we will provide it as applicable.
For questions about this policy, data handling, or support correspondence, contact the MemeTrader developer at thememetraderapp@gmail.com.
